Do I need an e visa to enter Thailand?

If you’re a US passport holder visiting Thailand for tourism, you usually do not need an e visa. You typically enter visa exempt and get a stay (commonly up to 60 days).  

If you do need a visa (longer stay or a different purpose), Thailand’s e visa processing is commonly about 3 to 10 working days once they receive a complete application.

Separate from visas, Thailand now requires the Thailand digital arrival card (TDAC) to be completed within 72 hours before arrival.
